And dailydinnerkitchen is my little corner of the internet!
I launched dailydinnerkitchen in 2018 while I was still working full‑time as a marketing manager in downtown Portland. I was tired of the same take‑out routine after a long day, so I started posting quick, family‑friendly recipes on a tiny WordPress blog. What began as a handful of posts has turned into a full‑blown kitchen hub that now draws about 45,000 unique visitors each month and sends a weekly newsletter to 12,000 hungry readers. In 2022 I released my first e‑cookbook, “Weeknight Wins,” which sold over 3,200 copies in its first six months.
These days the site is more than just recipes. I’ve added a searchable ingredient index, a seasonal produce calendar, and a “Dinner in 30” video series that has racked up 250,000 views on YouTube. I’m also lucky enough to partner with a few local farms, which lets me showcase the freshest veggies from the Willamette Valley. The community feels like a big family—people leave comments, share their own twists, and even send me photos of their dinner tables.
I live in a modest bungalow in the Sellwood‑Moorhead neighborhood with my husband, Mark, and our two kids, Lily (9) and Sam (6). When I’m not stirring a pot, you’ll find me at the Saturday farmers market hunting for heirloom tomatoes, digging through my vintage record collection, or hiking the trails of the Columbia River Gorge with the family. One of my favorite kitchen rituals is turning on an old jazz record while the sauce simmers—there’s something about that crackle that makes the whole house feel like a restaurant.
